CONCEPT
Slow Flow Classes
The Slow Flow class is our slowest and least challenging class. It focuses on fundamentals and stretching. It's a great option on days you want to take it easy and focus on breathing. You will still get a workout but it will cater to the extension and mobility of the body. If you have never done reformer before, you can also begin with a Slow Flow class if an Intro Class option is booked.
Intro Classes
If you have never done a reformer class at any studio, you must take an Intro Class first. Intro Classes are still a full 45 minute full body, challenging workout. We just move a bit slower and focus on fundamentals to give students who are new to reformer Pilates, the opportunity to get used to the machine and movements. If you have injuries or limitations, it is recommended that you stick with Intro Classes. You may take Intro Classes for as long as you like or switch back and forth between Intro and All Levels. You can think of Intro Classes as a (challenging) level 1 class. We do not permit pregnancies in any of our group classes.
All Levels Classes
Our All Levels Classes are 45 minute full body, reformer workouts and are our most challenging classes. In order to take All Levels, you are required to have taken at least one reformer class at any studio or an Intro or Slow Flow class at our studio as a prerequisite. All Levels classes challenge coordination, balance and stability. Again, if you are injured or have other limitations, it is recommended that you stick with Intro or Slow Flow Classes. All Levels classes are about 20% more challenging than our Intro Classes.
Zoom Virtual Mat Classes
We will continue to offer Zoom classes for all those who are either not ready to return to the studio or would like to combine in-studio reformer and Zoom mat classes. Zoom mat classes are designed for all levels with modifications and advancements to suit your needs. Please keep in mind that because of the nature of online classes, instructors are unable to provide the same guidance as an in studio class. Please take caution and modify exercises to take the best care of your body and to prevent injuries. If you need links to our Zoom classes, please email us.

A TIME FOR YOUWe believe working out should be fun!
A time to tune in to your body, breathe, sweat and jam out to some great music. We encourage you to leave your inhibitions behind and take some time out just for you...and maybe share a high five with the person on the reformer next to you. We provide a supportive environment, with a zen atmosphere to help you destress and find your center. Classes are challenging and focus on strength building, flexibility, and balance. |
WHAT YOU'RE IN FORWe combine classical and contemporary Pilates to give you the most effective and enjoyable workout possible. Group reformer classes offer spring based resistance training to build long and lean bodies that are supported from the core. You will get cardio work using the jumpboard, exercises that improve flexibility, and access small muscle groups to tone your body to its full potential. Give yourself 45 minutes for a low impact workout that will change the way you move through your day.

A little pilates knowledge to dazzle your friends withJoseph Pilates created the technique originally as rehabilitative support for injured war soldiers in WWI. The New York City Ballet then adopted the technique as they found it was the best possible training for their dancers. Today, millions of people around the world use Pilates as a way to connect mind, body and spirit. At Be Pilates, we encourage body awareness through movement, offer a modern and chic boutique studio to put you in a happy place, and provide a space to Be light, Be grounded, Be expansive.
